The Setouchi Triennale is a contemporary art festival held once every three years across the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. The first festival was launched in 2010, with each edition spanning approximately 100 days and divided into spring, summer, and autumn seasons, allowing visitors to experience the unique charm of Setouchi in different seasons. During the festival, around one million visitors from Japan and abroad participate, making it one of Japan’s most renowned international art festivals.

Under the theme of "Restoration of the Sea," the festival encourages visitors to explore the islands using art as a guide, interact with artists, local residents, and volunteers, and immerse themselves in Setouchi’s natural beauty, island culture, and human connections. This unique integration of art and regional revitalization has resonated with people worldwide.

The Seto Inland Sea has historically been a crucial transportation hub, where ships traveling between islands brought new cultures and influences, blending with the islands’ traditions to create a distinct landscape and heritage that continues to this day. However, with the forces of globalization, urbanization, and standardization, island populations have been shrinking, aging issues have intensified, and the region’s vitality has declined, causing the islands' uniqueness to fade. 1. How to Use

   • After booking, travelers will receive two PDF files via email (two electronic vouchers).
   • Please present the QR code at designated facilities to redeem your ticket.

2. Validity Period

   • Okayama Enjoy Pass – 1 Week Free Pass: Valid for 270 days from the date of purchase.
   • Kagawa & Okayama "Setouchi Triennale 2025" Art Passport (Full-Season Pass): Valid from April 18, 2025, to November 9, 2025.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

   • No cancellations or modifications are allowed after booking.

Okayama Enjoy Pass – 1 Week Free Pass

• How to Use: After booking, travelers will receive a PDF file via email. Present the QR code at the facility or exchange it for a physical ticket.
• Each facility can only be visited once; re-entry is not allowed.
• The pass is valid for 270 days from the date of purchase.
  • Example: If purchased on January 1, it must be activated by September 28.
• Once activated (first facility use), the pass is valid for 7 days.
  • Example: If activated on July 1, it remains valid until July 7.
• During the valid period, users can choose any 3 facilities.
• If activated close to the end of the 270-day validity period, the 7-day usage period cannot extend beyond the 270-day limit.
  • Example: If the pass is valid from January 1 to September 28 and activated on September 27, it will expire on September 28.
• Unused entries cannot be refunded or exchanged.
• Each person may use only one pass per visit.

1. Once booked, the system will automatically send a confirmation email to the registered email address.
2. Present the confirmation code or QR code at the designated locations to redeem a physical ticket.

Art Passport Usage Guidelines:

Passport Format

• Before use, the passport must be exchanged for either a paper passport or an electronic passport download voucher.
• The QR code issued by JTR alone cannot be used for entry into art facilities.

Refund & Reissuance Policy

• No refunds or reissuance will be provided due to personal reasons after purchase.
• No refunds will be given even in cases of significant changes to the festival schedule, venue availability, reduction in the number of artworks on display, restrictions on the number of visitors, or limited viewing hours due to natural disasters such as typhoons.

Closing Days

• Some venues or artworks may have designated closing days. Please check the official website for details.

Entry Restrictions

• Due to crowd control measures, there may be long waiting times to enter venues, or visitor numbers may be restricted.
• Some artworks may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance.
• Visitors who fail to follow staff instructions or regulations may be asked to leave the venue.
• Any misuse of this pass will result in immediate cancellation and restrictions on further use.
